Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active LBS1 certification; or, at minimum, prior possession of PEL with LBS1 endorsement Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within elementary grade levels Extensive knowledge of special education practices, IEP development, and tailored instructional strategies Compassionate, patient, and collaborative approach to working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities Ability to create an inclusive environment that addresses both academic and social-emotional needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small-group instruction across multiple grade levels in a self-contained classroom Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and specific needs as outlined in IEPs Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to foster a positive, supportive learning space Manage classroom routines, behavioral supports, and documentation in accordance with school and district policies Actively participate in IEP meetings, student assessments, and progress monitoring This contract role offers you the chance to make a significant difference while accommodating your existing commitments.
