Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful opportunity as an LBS1 Teacher supporting an elementary self-contained autism program. This full-year contract position, beginning August 11th, focuses on guiding students in 2nd and 3rd grades. You will create a structured, supportive classroom environment tailored to the needs of your exceptional learners, bringing your specialized expertise and compassion each day.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement Strongly preferred: Experience with autism programming or autism endorsement Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Commitment to fostering student independence and social/emotional growth Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with families, paraprofessionals, and related service staff
