Key Qualifications:
Active Paraprofessional License in Illinois is required Experience supporting students in a classroom setting preferred Comfortable working one-on-one with students and adapting to meet various needs throughout the day Willing to assist with toileting and behavioral support as needed Open to working with students across all grade levels Fully clear background check with no disqualifying records
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct 1:1 instructional support within designated programs Step in to help other students when necessary, adapting to different situations as they arise Maintain a consistent schedule of 8:15 AM 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to promote student success Provide assistance with personal care needs, demonstrating patience and empathy Model positive behaviors and help reinforce instructional goals This onsite position is located within a welcoming elementary school community and runs from start date through May 24, 2027.
