Required Qualifications:

Valid Illinois TDHH License (Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing) Meets any district or state-specific requirements, such as Professional Educator License (PEL) Experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred Skilled in both individual and small group instruction Ability to collaborate effectively with general and special education staff, as well as families Strong communication and organization abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instructional and consultative services to students across assigned locations Adapt curriculum and instructional materials according to student needs Assess, monitor, and document student progress and program effectiveness Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student education plans Provide resources and training for school staff to support inclusive practices Advocate for student access, accommodations, and assistive technology as needed
