Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Seeking a dedicated professional with expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) and/or Orientation & Mobility (O&M) specialist for a rewarding contract role in a vibrant educational setting. This position starts as soon as possible and is expected to continue through mid-December, with the potential to extend through the school year. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, following school hours. In this role, you will support students across several buildings within a district. Assignments currently include serving three schools for TVI responsibilities and three for O&M services, though school assignments may shift as student needs evolve.

Qualifications and Experience:

Certification in Visual Impairment (TVI) and/or Orientation & Mobility (O&M) required Experience working with students in educational settings strongly recommended Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and building assignments Strong communication and collaboration skills, working closely with educational teams and families Commitment to empowering visually impaired students to achieve academic and orientation milestones
