Responsibilities:

• Selected candidate will report to the center director, ensuring that the center is operating in accordance with company and state licensing standards. The Assistant director will serve as the acting director in the absence of the center director.
• Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parents.
• Help children to grow, build self-esteem and help children discover new things each day.
• Promote the positive image of the company and play a major role in making the company a provider of choice in educational programs for the communities that we service.
• Recruit, select and retain quality staff.
• Help achieve profitability for the company. In order to be considered for this position, you must meet all state licensing requirements, including:
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have current certification in infant, child and adult CPR and first aid
• Must have prior supervisory experience.
• Associate degree in child development or early childhood education OR
• 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hour college credits in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education AND
• Eithera Gateways to Opportunity Level 1 OR 3 semester hours of college credit OR 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management.
