Key Qualifications:
Valid certification or license as a Special Education Teacher Proven experience working in special education, including resource or co-taught settings Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and ability to deliver accommodations Expertise in middle school English Language Arts curriculum and instruction Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, parents, and support staff Ability to foster a positive, supportive learning environment for diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
Co-teach and deliver support in 8th grade ELA classes, collaborating closely with the classroom teacher Provide targeted resource instruction tailored to students' IEP goals and present levels of performance Adapt materials and instructional strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and participate in IEP meetings Partner with families and staff to create a supportive, effective educational experience Foster student independence, self-advocacy, and social-emotional development This contract role allows you to focus on what you do best—supporting learners and shaping future success—while working alongside dedicated educators.
