Special Education Teacher in Anderson, IN

Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits passionate educators who are experienced in special education. This full-time contract role is designed for a dedicated professional who will have a direct impact in a self-contained classroom at the elementary level, supporting students with mild disabilities. With 35 hours per week and a stable assignment running from early August 2026 through early June 2027, you'll help shape positive learning outcomes for a close-knit group of young learners.
What We're Looking For:
Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (a screenshot of licensure is required with application) Previous experience working in a self-contained special education setting is strongly preferred Familiarity with instructional strategies tailored for students with mild disabilities Strong collaboration skills and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude Able to commit to fully onsite responsibilities throughout the school year Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
Key Responsibilities:
