Middle school students with mild disabilities Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained special education classroom. Develop and implement individualized instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, and developmental needs. Support students in meeting their IEP goals and making meaningful progress. Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to IEP goals and services. Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, related service providers, and families. Maintain a structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment. Implement classroom management strategies appropriate for students with mild disabilities. Required Qualifications Active Indiana teaching license required. Previous special education classroom experience preferred. Experience working with students with mild disabilities preferred. Strong classroom management, communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work onsite for the duration of the assignment. Ability to work full-time, 35 hours per week , through December 18, 2026. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a self-contained special education classroom . Experience supporting middle school students. Experience working with students with mild disabilities. Familiarity with IEP implementation, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team.
