Company Overview Growing Hearts Daycare & Preschool is a dedicated ministry of Zion Community Church of the Nazarene, committed to providing nurturing, high-quality early childhood care and education. We serve around 80 children from infancy through school age in a safe, clean, and engaging environment, guided by our core values of Compassionate Care, Christ-like Character, and Commitment to Growth. Overview We are seeking a Christ-like and motivated Part-time Closing Staff Member/Teacher to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the final hours of our daily operations while fostering a positive and enriching environment for young children. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a strong background in early childhood education to help us ensure a smooth closing process and a joyful experience for all children.
Shift times:
M-F 12:00pm-6:00pm And M-F 2:00pm-6:00pm Duties Supervise children during the closing hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement engaging activities that promote social-emotional development and classroom management Assist with classroom cleanup and organization to prepare for the next day Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs and daily updates Follow all safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws when necessary Maintain accurate attendance records and activity logs during shift Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid is highly desirable Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavior management effectively Ability to work flexible hours with an emphasis on closing shifts in the late afternoon or evening Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude toward children and families Join us to make a meaningful difference in young lives while enjoying a supportive team environment! Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
