Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students to reach their full potential as a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in a rewarding contract opportunity for the full school year. Desired Qualifications:

Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Previous experience working with students who have visual impairments, preferably within a K-12 educational setting Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive teaching strategies Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Collaborative team player with excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments across a variety of grade levels Assess student abilities and adapt curriculum materials utilizing Braille, large print, tactile graphics, and technology as appropriate Work closely with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support inclusive student learning Provide guidance to educators and staff about best practices for accommodating students with visual impairments Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as required In this role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who are visually impaired, helping to shape their educational journey and foster their independence.
