This full-time position offers the chance to make a lasting difference while working onsite at a local middle school near Anderson, IN. The role is scheduled for 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and running through mid-December 2026.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current, valid Indiana Special Education Teacher license (please provide documentation with application) Experience teaching students with mild disabilities in a self-contained classroom preferred Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement IEPs catering to individual student needs Passion for fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in middle school learners

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students with mild disabilities in accordance with their IEPs Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Maintain thorough records of student progress and ongoing documentation for compliance Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and achievements Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and IEP team meetings as required This onsite-only role at Highland Middle School offers you the opportunity to become a trusted support for students at a pivotal stage in their education.
