This full-time, contract position begins January 4th and centers on supporting learners with mild disabilities in a resource setting. Key Qualifications & Experience:
Licensure as a Special Education Teacher (relevant to the elementary level). Understanding of elementary curriculum and resource room best practices. Experience serving students with mild disabilities is highly preferred. Ability to effectively modify and accommodate lessons in coordination with general education teachers. Skilled in developing and maintaining accurate, compliant IEPs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Collaborative mindset with a commitment to student growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide resource support and instruction for elementary students with mild disabilities. Design individualized lessons and activities in both self-contained and integrated classroom blocks. Collaborate closely with general education teachers to ensure seamless support and accommodations. Develop, write, and update IEPs tailored to students' unique needs. Track and report progress toward IEP goals, maintaining clear documentation. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
