Key Qualifications:

Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (screenshot of licensure required with application) Prior experience teaching or student-teaching in a special education setting Thorough understanding of IEP processes and the ability to tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs Strong classroom management skills, empathy, and adaptability Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, students, and educational teams

Responsibilities:

Lead a self-contained classroom for students with mild disabilities, grades 68 Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress and adjust strategies as needed Work closely with support staff and families to ensure comprehensive educational support Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive
