Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a General Education Teacher to inspire and educate young minds in a supportive elementary school environment. This contract role focuses on kindergarten students, delivering instruction across all core subjects. You'll play a key part in helping students build foundational skills during a formative stage in their academic journey. As the classroom leader, you'll work collaboratively with support staff and special education professionals to create an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere. Some students with special needs receive push-in and pull-out services throughout the day, and these students are consistently supported by a dedicated paraeducator, enabling you to focus on differentiated instruction and whole-group learning.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required Valid teaching certification in general education (or eligibility) Previous experience teaching or student teaching at the kindergarten level preferred Strong classroom management and organization skills Ability to effectively collaborate with special education staff and paras Passion for fostering both academic and social-emotional growth in young learners
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic lessons across all elementary subject areas for a kindergarten classroom Implement classroom routines and positive behavior strategies Collaborate with special education professionals to support students receiving push-in/pull-out services Utilize assessments to guide instruction and track student progress Foster a classroom culture that embraces diversity, safety, and respect for all students
