In this vital role, you will design and implement targeted instructional strategies to support students who need extra help in mastering core academic skills. Responsibilities Develop and adapt curriculum tailored to individual student needs, focusing on literacy, math, and overall academic skills Conduct comprehensive student assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement, informing personalized instructional plans Implement evidence-based academic interventions within multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) frameworks to promote equitable learning opportunities Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to coordinate interventions and share student performance data analysis Design lesson plans that incorporate assessment-driven instruction, ensuring activities are aligned with educational standards and student needs Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive learning environment conducive to growth and participation Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education, preschool, or elementary school settings Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design for diverse learners Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management strategies, and accommodations for students with disabilities Familiarity with assessment tools, student performance data analysis, and quantitative analysis methods for evaluating progress Experience teaching math, literacy education, physical education or working with students in various educational contexts such as Montessori or private schools is preferred Excellent communication skills to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and connect with families effectively Ability to manage classroom environments confidently while implementing conflict management techniques Physical Demands & Work Environment This position requires frequent walking and standing, supervision of students indoors and outdoors, and the ability to respond to emergency situations as needed. The work environment may include exposure to varied weather conditions, occasional evening or weekend events, and a fast-paced school setting with frequent interruptions.
