Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Baton Rouge, LA

Job Description

Help shape the academic journey for students by lending your expertise as an Educational Diagnostician. This contract opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment, supporting preschool through high school students. You'll collaborate closely with educational teams and families to assess, identify, and support a diverse K-12 student population. The assignment is located near Baton Rouge, LA, and is open to both onsite and VOCO (virtual) service models.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current and active Louisiana DOE Educational Diagnostician Certification is required Experience in conducting assessments and evaluations across multiple age groups, ideally K-12 Skilled at working collaboratively as part of evaluation or educational specialist teams Flexible and adaptive with strong organizational and communication abilities Successfully pass district background checks and fingerprinting per credentialing policies
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations for special education services Participate as a member of the preschool evaluation team, with potential to expand to broader K-12 caseload Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations Deliver services either onsite or via virtual platforms, as assigned This role offers a consistent weekly schedule at 29 hours per week from August 18, 2026, through May 24, 2027, providing stability over the academic year.
