Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life. Be able to give testimony of their salvation, their beliefs, and how the Lord is working in their life. Be baptized with the Holy Spirit and live a Spirit-filled life. Be in agreement with Bethany Church and Bethany Christian School's statement of faith. Be faithful in attendance and tithing to a church of like faith and practices of Bethany Church. Seek spiritual growth through daily study of God's Word and daily prayer. Serve as a Christian role model to all students, parents, fellow workers, and community members Be committed to and in agreement with the philosophy of Christian education as held by BCS. Be called by God to minister at BCS and be dedicated to all students. Display a love of children and a desire and gift for teaching them. Be able to submit to authority, be supportive even when in disagreement, and be able to follow school policies and procedures including the proper way to handle challenges and problems. Maintain a good attendance record. Remain cooperative, friendly, even-tempered, and sensitive to the needs of others. In addition to the above qualifications, teachers must meet the following requirements: A degree in elementary education from an accredited university or a degree from an accredited university along with additional requirements as outlined in Non-Public bulletin 741. Teaching experience (preferred but not required). Ability to teach all subject matter as required. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage a classroom. Willingness to seek further training and education (see individual professional development requirements).
