9681833-70065 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting students in specialized classroom settings as a contract paraprofessional. This full-time opportunity (35 hours/week, Monday through Friday) begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, following the school district calendar. Youll work primarily in classes with lower teacher-to-student ratios, assisting students with diverse communication needs and supporting positive behavioral growth.

What Were Looking For:

Experience working in classroom settings, ideally with students on the autism spectrum or with related disabilities. Confidence interpreting IEPs and collaborating with educators to reach student goals. Ability to navigate and manage challenging behaviors, including aggression, with patience and professionalism. Fulfillment of one of these education/licensure requirements (per district policy): Associates degree ParaPro assessment score 450 or higher At least 48 semester credit hours completed Preferred but not required: CPI and de-escalation training, significant behavior experience, CPR certification. Commitment to completing a drug test, fingerprinting, and comprehensive background check prior to starting.

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver daily instructional and behavioral support in structured classroom environments. Forge positive relationships with students using patience, empathy, and effective communication strategies. Assist teachers with implementation of IEPs, lesson plans, and behavior intervention plans. Support students engagement, independence, and academic/social development.
