Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Metairie, LA

Job Description

Make an immediate impact in a school community near the New Orleans area by providing critical support as an Educational Diagnostician. This full-time, contract position follows the school district calendar and starts August 3, 2026, continuing through May 27, 2027. Youll have the chance to use your expertise to help students succeed, collaborating with educators and families to develop effective educational strategies. While the exact caseload and number of assigned schools will be determined, this role delivers opportunities to work with diverse age groups and varied student needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must hold an active Louisiana Department of Education (DOE) Certification for Educational Diagnosticians Prior successful experience in school settings as an Educational Diagnostician is highly valued Strong knowledge of special education law, assessment, and compliance procedures Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills Must meet district credentialing, which requires a drug screen and fingerprinting Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
