Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Instructional Responsibilities May teach a minimum of two (2) courses per academic year (6 credit hours) in education-related or practicum coursework, including Teacher Apprenticeship Practicum courses and/or
TEAC 20 I, TEAC
203, or other qualified disciplines. Plan, develop, and use effective instructional methods and materials that support course objectives, align with program outcomes, and meet the needs of students with diverse educational backgrounds and learning styles. Maintain accurate records, grading, and required documentation; hold regular office hours; and respond to student and partner inquiries in a timely manner. Assist with alignment between practicum instruction, field experiences, and work-based learning expectations across traditional and apprenticeship pathways. Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes; develop and use assessment tools; and collaborate with colleagues to use assessment results to improve instruction and curriculum. Attend and participate in meetings and instructional planning activities as required. 2. Teacher Pathways Program Coordination (Traditional+ Apprenticeship) Support coordination and implementation of LDCC's full Teacher Pathways program model, including: o Traditional 2+2 Associate of Science in Teaching (AST) pathway o 3-Year Teacher Apprenticeship Pathway o 4-Year Teacher Apprenticeship Pathway o Associate Educator Apprenticeship Pathway o High School Dual Enrollment Teacher Pathway Assist with alignment across pathways to ensure consistency in onboarding, advising structures, communication, and student experience. Support cohort planning, scheduling, and sequencing across traditional and apprenticeship pathways. Serve as an operational liaison between instructional components, practicum coursework, and pathway logistics. 3. Strategic Planning, Project Management & Operations Assist the Director with strategic planning, program development, and implementation timelines for Teacher Pathways. Support the development and maintenance of scalable systems, workflows, and documentation as pathways expand. Assist with project management functions, including tracking milestones, deliverables, timelines, and coordination across campuses, districts, and partners. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying operational gaps, process efficiencies, and coordination needs. Assist with data collection and internal reporting related to enrollment, participation, retention, completion, and pathway outcomes. 4. Workforce & WIOA Funding Support Assist with coordination of workforce-funded components of Teacher Pathways, including WIOA-supported participants. Support documentation, tracking, and reporting requirements associated with workforce and grant-funded initiatives. Collaborate with workforce partners to ensure alignment between academic progress, work-based learning, and funding requirements. Assist the Director in maintaining clear connections between Teacher Pathways and workforce systems. 5. Apprenticeship Systems & Compliance Support Assist with registered apprenticeship documentation and compliance processes under the direction of the Director. Support RAPlDS data entry, updates, and verification. Assist with collection and tracking of work-based learning documentation, mentor evaluations, and apprentice progress records. Support adherence to state, federal, and institutional apprenticeship requirements. 6. District, Mentor & Partner Coordination Maintain regular communication with school districts, mentor teachers, and pathway partners. Assist with apprentice placement logistics and site-based coordination. May serve as a point of contact for routine mentor and apprentice inquiries. Support collaboration with transfer institutions to ensure smooth transitions across pathways. 7. Student Services, Advisement & Retention Support Provide structured academic and professional support to students across all Teacher Pathways, including traditional AST and apprenticeship models. Assist with monitoring student progress and identifying students at risk. Support cohort engagement, communication systems, and retention strategies. Coordinate with the Director on student-centered systems that promote persistence, completion, and successful transfer or employment. 8. Professional Development & Service Maintain high standards of competence in teaching methodologies, pathway coordination practices, and workforce-aligned education through ongoing professional development. Participate in college committees, task forces, meetings, and activities that support program effectiveness, student success, and institutional goals. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, advisement, and retention activities related to Teacher Pathways. Participate in activities required to support program, institutional, and accreditation standards. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission and values of Louisiana Delta Community College.
Required Education:
The required qualification for this position is a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution (field flexible). The successful candidate must have experience working in education, student services, workforce development, or related programs, with demonstrated ability to support student progression, program coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills are required. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate complex processes, and work effectively with students, faculty, administrators, and external partners. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to support program operations, curriculum-related activities, and student success initiatives are essential. The successful candidate must be service-oriented, promote excellence, and embrace a commitment to professionalism.
