• Resource Teacher (Potential Opening) Job Overview 50 Stars Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students in a school-based setting in Terrytown, Louisiana .

Teachers will provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs and collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers. Responsibilities Develop and implement instruction aligned with student IEP goals. Provide specialized instruction in inclusion, resource, or self-contained settings. Adapt curriculum, lessons, and instructional materials to meet individual student needs. Provide academic, behavioral, social, and developmental support. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Implement accommodations, modifications, and appropriate behavior-support strategies. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers. Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with families and school staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Louisiana Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain one. Previous experience in inclusion, resource, or self-contained classrooms preferred. Experience working with elementary students and/or early childhood students preferred. Knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction, accommodations, and progress monitoring. Strong classroom-management and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
