Key Qualifications:

Valid certification or license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Demonstrated experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school environments Strong skills in consultation, collaboration, and advocacy on behalf of students and families Solid understanding of assistive technology and accommodations for hearing access Ability to provide expert guidance to faculty and staff regarding inclusive strategies and classroom adaptations

Responsibilities:

Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective learning strategies and accommodations for three deaf/hard of hearing students Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and progress monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Advocate for student needs and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines Offer training and professional development to colleagues as needed Document services and maintain open, effective communication with all stakeholders This contract, part-time role offers the flexibility needed to balance professional and personal commitments while making a direct impact in the lives of students.
