  • Announcement of Long-Term Substitute Teaching Vacancy The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy.
The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Description:
  • Design, supervise and implement students' IEP plans
  • Instruct students using specialized curriculum.
  • Develop curriculum modifications and adaptations.
  • Participate in IEP Team meetings.
  • Write effective IEPs for students
  • Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress
  • Effectively work with a team of professionals to coordinate services including BCBA and related service providers
  • Consult with general education teacher and related service providers.
  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional strategies to facilitate inclusion.
  • Write quarterly progress reports for IEP goals that are data based on student performance.
  • Administer various diagnostic achievement assessments that identifies student capabilities as part of initial and reevaluation for students.
  • Write effective evaluation reports summarizing findings and making recommendations for assigned students. Successful candidates will hold a degree in special education from an accredited college or university MA DESE Teaching License
  • PreK-8 Moderate Special Needs license is required Training and experience with specialized reading programs (OG, Wilson, LIPS, etc) Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to assure students can access the curriculum. Ability to effectively consult and work collaboratively with various service providers and support staff.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Experience with IEP development is required.
