Job Description

Special Education Teachers are in demand for contract opportunities just outside Chelmsford, MA. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working with diverse caseloads across K-12 settings. You'll work closely with students, parents, and fellow educators to create engaging, supportive, and effective learning environments tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Massachusetts Special Education License Experience working with students in K-12 settings preferred Familiarity with a range of classroom environments, including resource, inclusion, and self-contained classrooms Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with parents and multidisciplinary teams Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Adaptable, patient, and committed to fostering growth in students with a variety of learning challenges
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality individualized instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum to meet the unique learning styles and needs of each student Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress Monitor, assess, and report on student development and goals Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and independence Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions as required This contract position offers the unique opportunity to experience a range of classroom types and age groups, supporting student success in Massachusetts schools.
