Job Description

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much-respected facility in East Bridgewater, MA who is currently seeking a qualified Reading Specialist to assist them on a contractual basis.

Reading Specialist needed for grades 7-12. ASAP start for the full SY. Caseload is currently 27. Certified reading specialist, OG and or Wilson is great but they need to be certified in

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required Master's Degree in Reading, Literacy, Education, Special Education, or related field preferred Current Massachusetts Educator License with Reading Specialist endorsement/licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Valid Massachusetts teaching license in an appropriate content area preferred Minimum of one year of experience providing literacy instruction or intervention services in a school setting preferred Experience working with secondary-level students (Grades 9-12) preferred Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, DESE literacy initiatives, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Experience administering and interpreting literacy assessments and student performance data Knowledge of evidence-based reading intervention programs and structured literacy practices Experience supporting students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, and other literacy-related challenges preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills I hope to connect soon!
