Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current certification in Special Education (state requirements must be met) Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Familiarity with a range of developmental, cognitive, and behavioral needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student goals Compassion, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards diverse abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each students needs Deliver engaging instructional lessons, adapting content and teaching methods for students with disabilities Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure effective accommodations and modifications Assess student progress regularly and communicate updates to parents and educational team members Create a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment for all learners Implement evidence-based interventions and manage classroom behavior effectively Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing staff training
