Job Description

This full-time contract position centers on providing specialized instruction to small groups of K-1st and 3rd5th grade students in substantially separate classrooms. Desired Qualifications:
Special Education Teacher license required, with experience in substantially separate settings highly preferred Background working with students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities Skilled in developing and implementing individualized, specially designed instructional plans Experience supporting students who require toileting assistance and adaptive daily living skills Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) and positive behavior supports is advantageous Collaborative approach to working alongside Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), related services providers, and paraprofessionals Adaptability and commitment to promoting equity and access for non-verbal and neurodiverse students
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral supports to students with complex learning and physical needs Implement and document progress on IEP goals, adapting teaching strategies to maximize student success Coordinate with paraprofessionals and RBTs to create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment Foster communication and partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams Provide hands-on assistance with daily routines, including mobility, feeding, and toileting as needed Sustain a positive, patient, and proactive teaching atmosphere This is an onsite opportunity situated near Great Barrington, MA, with openings for travel professionals eager to take on new challenges in a nurturing school setting.
