Position Summary:

SPED-ILP

Teacher is a cornerstone of Lawrence Public Schools. As a

SPED ILP

Teacher, your area of expertise will be used to enrich the academic lives of the students at the 9th Grade Academy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility to be a strong, positive force daily in their classroom - consistently and thoughtfully motivate students to work hard and want to learn.
  • Design, implement, and collaborate around high-quality shared curricula that incorporate research-based strategies to help students master Massachusetts and Common Core standards.
  • Motivate students to reach high achievement by setting class-wide and individual goals and provide specific and actionable feedback to students on their progress towards academic goals.
  • Build supportive working relationships with fellow teachers, associate teachers, and staff, and provide regular feedback to help develop associate teachers.
  • Other responsibilities as needed and assigned by administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Prior experience teaching in this area is preferred.
  • Ability to implement a safe, purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students.
  • Ability to collaborate with other teachers, instructional leaders, and partners to ensure instruction is meeting the needs of all students.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Massachusetts Teacher Licensure in appropriate category
  • Proficient in English.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

    Pay Range
  • $61,788 - $94,614
