Job Description

Bring your specialized skills in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a dynamic district. This flexible, part-time position runs through March 2026, with the potential for extension based on district needs. Ideal for educators seeking adaptable hours and collaborative caseload planning, youll partner closely with a full-time team member to ensure comprehensive services across district schools.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts teaching certification for Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (required) Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school settings Strong collaboration and communication abilities Comfort adapting to various age groups or school environments, with caseload preferences considered Passion for fostering inclusive and accessible learning
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional support and specialized strategies for students with hearing loss Collaborate with a district Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to manage and balance caseloads Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist with goal planning and progress monitoring Develop and deliver lessons tailored to each students unique needs and language preferences Serve as a resource for staff and families, promoting best practices and providing training as needed Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to assessments and reporting Perks for
