Qualifications and Desired Experience:

State certification as a Behavior Specialist or Teacher for the Visually Impaired (or eligibility) Experience developing and implementing individualized educational and behavior intervention plans Strong communication and collaboration skills Knowledge of assistive technology and accessible curriculum tools (for TVI roles) Ability to work with students with a range of behavioral or visual needs, from mild to moderate Familiarity with relevant laws and accommodations, including IDEA and Section 504

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement behavioral intervention programs or adaptive teaching strategies based on students IEP goals Provide direct instruction and support in both one-on-one and small group settings Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed Lead and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery Consult with classroom staff on behavior management or accessibility strategies Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports as required
