Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting middle school learners in a Grade 7 resource room setting close to Lynn, MA. Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state of Massachusetts Previous experience or strong interest in working with middle school students, particularly in a resource room environment Solid understanding of IEPs, goal-setting, and differentiated instruction Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work successfully with support staff, students, and parents Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and instruction to meet individual learning needs
What Youll Do:
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students IEP goals Provide direct academic and behavioral support to intermediate-grade learners in a resource room Track and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instruction as needed Closely collaborate with general education teachers and other support professionals to ensure students success in both inclusive and specialized settings Regularly communicate with families, updating them on progress and strategies for continued support Foster a positive, encouraging classroom culture where diversity and unique learning styles are celebrated This contract role allows you to make a tangible difference in students lives and develop valuable experience in special education within Massachusetts.
