Job Description

Step into a dynamic role supporting middle school students as the lead special education teacher for a dedicated program during the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This contract position, located near Marlborough, MA, provides you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, guiding learners and collaborating with a committed educational team. As the lead special education teacher for the TLC program, you will play a crucial part in both academic and social growth for your students, helping them achieve their individual goals. Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher licensure is required. Prior experience in a special education setting, preferably with middle school students. Strong skills in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and differentiated instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead special education teacher for the TLC program, overseeing student progress and instructional planning. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines. Adapt lessons and materials to meet the diverse needs of students. Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education teachers. Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development.
