Job Description

Special Education Teachers are in high demand to support diverse K-12 students across multiple classroom settings in Massachusetts. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to impact students lives while broadening your experience as an educator. As a Special Education Teacher, youll work with a range of caseloads, from resource rooms to self-contained classrooms, tailoring your instruction to meet individual learning needs. You will collaborate closely with general educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that set each student up for success. Your expertise will help ensure a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts Special Education License (required) Experience or interest in working with K-12 students in various educational settings Ability to adapt instruction for students with a wide range of learning abilities Strong communication and collaboration skills Dedication to fostering student growth and independence
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for assigned students Provide specialized instruction and modifications as needed Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student achievement Maintain accurate records and progress reports Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that embraces diversity Attend team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning In this role, youll have the chance to make a meaningful difference while enjoying the flexibility of contract work and the satisfaction of helping students reach their fullest potential.
