Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by working as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive, inclusive environment near North Adams, MA. This full-time contract role focuses on serving K-1st and 3rd-5th grade students in Substantially Separate Classrooms. Youll educate and nurture students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities, including those who may be non-verbal or on the autism spectrum. Some students benefit from dedicated RBT support. Expertise in specially designed instruction and applied behavior analysis is especially valued in this setting. Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience with students facing significant disabilities (cognitive and/or physical) Background providing toileting, feeding, and mobility support Confidence adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs Strong preference for experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and specially designed instruction Familiarity supporting non-verbal students and those on the spectrum Collaborative mindset to work with RBTs and other educators
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a supportive classroom setting Provide physical and communication assistance as needed Collaborate with related service providers, support staff, and families Maintain documentation and track progress, ensuring compliance with all guidelines Foster a caring and respectful classroom culture Onsite work is required; travel professionals are encouraged to apply.
