Job Description

The Provincetown IB World Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Educational Support Personnel to assist with preschool students for the 2026-2027 school year.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide assistance to preschool students, ensuring they can safely and effectively navigate all aspects of the school day.

Facilitate peer interactions and help students develop foundational social skills, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy within the classroom setting within the framework of their IEP.

Provide support for lessons and sensory-based activities under the guidance of the lead teacher and special education teacher to meet the student's unique learning style.

Assist students in transitioning between daily routines—such as arrival, circle time, playground, and centers—to reduce anxiety and promote engagement.

Implement scaffolding techniques that gradually encourage students to complete tasks with increasing autonomy and confidence.

Maintain consistent communication with the educational team to track progress, document observations, and ensure the student's specific needs are being met in an inclusive environment.

Participate in professional development days.

Maintain confidentiality of information.

Perform other duties related to his/her performance responsibilities, as assigned by the Special Education Director
