This contract position focuses on providing guidance, individualized instruction, and accommodations to a small caseload of approximately 10 students. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Experience working with high school-aged students, preferably in a secondary school setting Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and IEP development Ability to collaborate with general education staff and provide consult/support Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver both individualized and group instruction for students with special needs, adapting lessons within general education classrooms and specialized settings as necessary Develop, implement, and regularly review IEPs, ensuring all goals and accommodations are upheld Maintain regular communication with families, staff, and related service providers to support student progress Track student data and progress, reporting outcomes and adjusting strategies as needed Advocate for students and encourage self-advocacy skills development Uphold compliance with all school and state policies, as well as special education laws
