Stitcher Operator - Overnight Shift Tidewater Direct | Centreville, MD Tidewater Direct is seeking Stitcher Operators for our evening and overnight production teams. Previous experience operating commercial stitching or bindery equipment would be great, but it is not required. We will also consider candidates who have a strong mechanical work background and experience operating other types of production machinery. If you are mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to learn, we are willing to train you.

Available shifts:

Third shift: 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. Full-time, 40 hours per week Every other Saturday as production needs arise Overtime opportunities available

What You'll Do:

Set up and operate commercial stitching and finishing equipment Read job tickets and follow production specifications Load materials and monitor equipment during production Inspect finished products for page order, alignment, stitching, and quality Make machine adjustments and perform basic troubleshooting Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe

What We're Looking For:

Commercial stitching or bindery experience is preferred but not required Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and punctuality Reliable transportation Ability to work the selected shift consistently Willingness to work every other Saturday when needed

Pay:

$19-$22 per hour, based on relevant experience. Candidates with direct experience setting up and operating commercial folders or stitchers may qualify for a higher starting rate.
