Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead School Age Teacher to inspire and guide children in our school age programs. This vital role involves creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As a leader in our educational community, you will coordinate activities, supervise staff and children, and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes growth and learning. Your energy and passion will help foster a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence among young learners. Duties Lead the planning and execution of engaging activities tailored to school age children's developmental needs, including academic support, arts, sports, and outdoor play. Supervise and support classroom staff to ensure high-quality instruction and positive behavior management. Maintain a safe environment by implementing first aid protocols, CPR procedures, AED operation, and emergency response plans. Oversee child supervision during all program activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and behavioral expectations. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and promote a supportive community. Facilitate youth group activities, camp experiences, and extracurricular programs that foster social skills and teamwork. Manage classroom organization, behavior management strategies, and special education accommodations as needed to support diverse learners. Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; prior daycare or camp experience is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills coupled with knowledge of childhood development principles. Certifications in 90 hour School Age and all basic requirements for the position. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are required. Experience working with children with special needs or in youth development programs is a plus. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive and energetic environment. Excellent child supervision skills along with the ability to facilitate outdoor work activities safely. Background in teaching or tutoring young children, along with experience in youth group activity facilitation or sports coaching preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and Christian counseling principles is advantageous.

$19.00 - $20.50 per hour
