Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field Experience working with students with a range of learning differences and exceptionalities Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Patience, empathy, and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, adapt, and deliver engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of students in accordance with their IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and parents/guardians to ensure appropriate supports Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and thorough documentation Contribute to IEP meetings, goal setting, and educational planning for assigned students Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that fosters academic achievement and social-emotional growth Implement classroom management strategies and positive behavior interventions
