9592143-21234 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with visual impairments in an educational environment near Parkville, MD. This role offers the chance to collaborate with an established team of Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVIs) and an Orientation & Mobility (O/M) specialist, contributing your expertise across a cluster of schools. Your primary focus will be delivering vision services as outlined in students IEPs, making a significant difference in their academic journey. Start your assignment on August 31, 2026, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your skills as a TVI will complement an experienced staff team, ensuring students individual needs are met in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with visual impairments Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instructional and consultative services to visually impaired students in accordance with their IEPs Adapt educational materials and strategies to meet individual learning needs Serve multiple schools, traveling between sites as needed Document progress and collaborate with staff, families, and other service providers Provide guidance to educators and staff on best practices for vision support
