Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting early childhood learners in an itinerant role. This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on providing individualized support to young students across multiple settings, helping lay the foundation for their academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

Hold current MSDE Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged students preferred Ability to travel between sites locally (mileage not provided; travel time is compensated) No travel restrictions—candidates must be comfortable and able to move between locations during the school day Strong organizational skills and adaptability Commitment to inclusive and differentiated instruction Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver specially designed instruction for students with diverse learning needs in early childhood programs Travel between multiple sites throughout the week to provide direct services as scheduled Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support each student's IEP Maintain student records, progress monitoring, and documentation in accordance with state and district requirements Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on instructional strategies and student progress Adapt teaching strategies and materials to foster engagement and achievement Promote positive classroom climates and inclusive practices in all assigned settings This position offers the opportunity to work with dedicated education professionals and make a direct difference in the lives of young learners.
