We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time school-based position in Westbrook, ME. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities
Adapt general education curriculum and lessons to meet individual learning needs
Support academic, literacy, communication, and functional skill development
Develop and deliver instruction aligned with IEP goals
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with teachers, families, and related-service professionals

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
Additional Maine endorsements may be required when supporting specific student populations.
Knowledge of IEP development and special education instructional practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Previous school-based special education experience is preferred.
