Responsibilities Provide immediate support to lead teachers by assisting with lesson implementation, classroom management, and child engagement across different age groups and classrooms. Support classroom activities focused on literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong home-school connections. Support behavior management strategies that promote positive behavior and emotional well-being among children. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Familiarity with early childhood education standards such as Montessori methods or standardized testing is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and support various teaching styles as needed. Demonstrated understanding of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education techniques.
