Make a difference in the lives of high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a Cognitive Impairment classroom, supporting learners to reach their full potential. Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to high school students in a Cognitive Impairment classroom. Adapt curriculum and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet students specialized needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create inclusive learning experiences. Monitor and assess student progress, communicating regularly with families and the educational team. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that promotes student growth and achievement.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active Michigan teaching license in Special Education (please provide a screenshot for verification; license can be confirmed at the Michigan Educator Credential Verification site). Experience working with high school-aged students, especially in Cognitive Impairment settings, strongly preferred. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. A passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
