Job Description

Alpha Medical Transit Inc. is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to to join our NEMT dispatch and customer service team in Battle Creek, MI. This role will support daily office operations by scheduling medical transport rides, managing client and driver communications, and maintaining accurate transport records and insurance billing documentation. Key Responsibilities 1.
Ride Scheduling:
Answer incoming calls from patients, healthcare facilities, and insurance brokers to schedule, modify, or cancel non-emergency medical trips. 2.
Dispatch Support:
Coordinate daily routes with drivers and track vehicle statuses using routing and scheduling software. 3.
Data Entry:
Accurately enter trip logs, client data, and mileage verification into digital tracking systems. 4.
Customer Service:
Answer questions regarding transport eligibility, pick-up times, and service policies with a polite and professional tone. 5.
Record Keeping:
Maintain up-to-date client files, driver compliance documents, and billing/reimbursement vouchers in accordance with state and federal guidelines 6.
Fleet & Logistics Management Qualifications Experience :
1-2 years of administrative, receptionist, or dispatch experience, preferably in a healthcare or transportation setting.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or administrative certification is a plus).
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning specialized scheduling/dispatch software.
Communication:
Excellent phone etiquette, active listening, and clear verbal communication skills.
Organization :

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
