Key Qualifications:

Current state of Michigan certification as a Special Education Teacher Endorsement and demonstrated experience working at the middle school level with students who have learning disabilities Experience as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) is highly desirable Skilled in creating and adapting lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs Deep understanding of IEP processes and regulatory requirements for special education Strong communication, team leadership, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Guide and support other special education teachers in lesson planning and best practices Lead the development and review of IEPs, ensuring compliance and effective student support Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student support discussions Directly instruct and assess middle school learners with learning disabilities Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet individual needs Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment This full-time role runs from 7:40am 2:43pm, following the school week. The assignment is scheduled to start as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.
