Job Description

La Escuelita Nuevo Horizonte is currently accepting applications for the position of GSRP Lead Teacher. The GSRP Lead Teacher will lead the rest of the teaching team as they move through daily routines, prepare for upcoming lessons, and maintain the safety and cleanliness of the childcare center. Requirements:

A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement; Or A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education. Applicants must have a current CPR/First Aid Certification or agree to obtain one upon hire Applicants must be able to pass all applicable Background Checks Have a negative TB test within one year prior to the date of hire or agree to obtain one upon hire Bi-lingual Candidates are preferred, but it is not a requirement

Job Duties:

Lead a team of 2-3 classroom teachers and work collaboratively to administer classroom instruction, behavior management, and assuring the overall well-being of the students and facility. Ensure the safety of the children in care and the classroom environment at all times. Interact with children in a respectful and positive manner. Ensure the preparation of materials for future lessons and activities. Communicating with parents about their child. Prepare for and conduct parent-teacher conferences. Attend required training hours throughout the year. Attend after school functions such as conferences, open house, and parent socials.

Pay:

$48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
