Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a full-time Special Education Teacher working with students identified with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). This contract role is located in a supportive school environment for the academic year, beginning September 18, 2026 and concluding June 10, 2027. You'll be based within a Setting II/III/center base at a middle school, providing essential academic and behavioral support to a caseload of students who benefit from your expertise and dedication.

Qualifications & Experience:

Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required) Previous experience working with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) highly preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and related service providers Current resume outlining relevant experience and credentials

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver instruction and behavioral interventions for middle school students with EBD Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to provide access to the general education environment Manage and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including assessment and documentation Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate, balancing structure and flexibility Engage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff Maintain compliance with district and state special education regulations Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
