Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD). This contract position offers a full-time schedule, beginning August 22, and places you at the heart of a dedicated team, making a real difference in the lives of students. As a Special Education Teacher in this setting, you'll work closely with students who require individualized learning approaches and social-emotional support. Your expertise will help foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each learner.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching licensure required, with endorsement for EBD or the ability to obtain Experience supporting middle school students with Emotional Behavior Disorders preferred Strong knowledge of academic and behavioral intervention strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, parents, and external agencies Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Passion for creating safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students with EBD within the special education setting Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet students' individual needs Implement and track progress on IEPs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Provide behavior management and intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student development Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all student records and reports This full-time opportunity offers competitive compensation at a rate of $75 per hour and the chance to make a profound impact at a school near Chaska, MN.
